This policy explains what Mental Health Tools stores when you use the site, who can see it, and how you delete it. The terms cover what the site is and is not. Accepting the terms does not turn research on.
A cloud save, a sign-in, and a research opt-in leave your browser over an encrypted HTTPS connection and go directly to Supabase, which holds the database and the sign-in system. Cloudflare delivers the pages over HTTPS. We do not run a separate server in between.
A file you download, or answers you leave only in this browser, stay on your device. They are not sent.
A headset connects to this browser over Bluetooth. Only a derived series is sent, and only if you record while signed in, over that same HTTPS connection. The raw brain-wave file is not uploaded.
A Couples lens invite address is saved in the database over that same connection. Resend then sends the email. The message is the fill link and any note the sender wrote, not the assessment answers.
We use this information to run the site, show you your results, let a guide see completed fills they sent, send a Couples lens invite email when you ask for one, and — only if you opt in — keep those anonymized score summaries. We do not use it to advertise, and we do not sell personal, assessment, or neural data.
A guide sees completed fills they sent, and the label they gave that person. They do not receive Heart rhythm or Signal field recordings. A Couples lens sender sees the partner’s completed fill. Guides and partners are independent of this site. What they do with a result after they have it is their practice, not this policy.
The companies that operate the site are:
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or if the service is transferred, under the same limits. The headset maker is not one of those recipients for data these pages store. Their own app, if you use it, follows their terms at choosemuse.com/legal.
Research is off until you turn it on in Account. If you opt in, the contribution is a score summary and any background you chose to answer, under a research ID with no email. Invite fills and headset time series are not included. We do not try to put an email back onto a research row. Turning research off deletes those contribution rows. That choice is separate from using the site.
Cloud saves stay until you delete them. Signed in, Account lists those saves and can delete one. If research is on, the research copy for that instrument is rebuilt from what remains, or removed if nothing remains. You can turn research off without deleting the saves. Local browser storage lasts until you clear it.
There is no separate privacy desk and no payment account. Access and deletion for what this site stores are the Account controls above.
If you live in California, you can know and delete the personal information this site keeps by using Account, as described above. You can turn research off, which deletes the research copy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not charge a different price for using those controls.
Sign-in is a one-time email link. Assessment rows are limited to the account that owns them. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
The site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly keep assessment or headset data from anyone younger. If a save belongs to someone under 18, it should be deleted from the account.
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do. Research stays off until you opt in, including after this policy changes.
